Support Structures
Materials come from structures that carry and/or structures that once supported something. Materials that were given to me, materials that I picked up on the streets, materials that were free, materials that were undercharged, and overcharged. Materials that were taken sometimes with and without permission. The works reveal methodologies and content become intertwined, the means in which sculptures are made. These material’s tolerance and retention is pushed to its limits, and constantly altered to another, thus revealing resourcefulness as an ethos.
